Welcome to the transnational access site of CEITEC BUT Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) and X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) facilities, offered through the EXCITE2 initiative.
Let's explore cutting-edge material analysis opportunities, connecting researchers globally for collaborative breakthroughs.

EXCITE² Network homepage

The EXCITE² Network is a European research infrastructure project that is dedicated to advancing research and innovation in the areas of Earth and environmental material sciences using imaging science, particularly electron and X-ray microscopy and complementary technologies. The project brings together 18 partners from 14 European and associated countries who have a diverse range of expertise. The main objective of the EXCITE² Network is to further consolidate a critical mass of research facilities into a unified infrastructure that can drive significant progress in Earth and environmental material sciences through imaging, specifically addressing Europe’s priorities and challenges such as environmental factors, human health, healthy oceans and waters, nanoscience, nanotechnology, climate-change risks, renewable energy, and sustainable Arctic and polar regions. To achieve this, the project provides access to 35 installations, of which 22 are electron and X-ray microscopy installations, five are advanced spectroscopy and spectrometry installations, two are an atomic force microscope and nanoindenter installation, respectively, and five are dedicated data processing installations.
